It Don't Bother Me

Track seven from Plant New Dreams. Amber, my dauthger, started this song with me at our lake cabin.
Lyrics
The lake that I live on, it isn't quite round,
It isn't quite straight, it's shaped like a hound.
It's got clean water and big pine trees,
N the fish that live there will sometimes sneeze.

But it don't bother me, it don't bother me.
I live on a lake in the middle of an ocean, n it don't bother me.

I sit on my deck and I look at the sky, the moon shines at me behind my eye.
The sun comes up when it's still quite dark, n the clouds in the sky will sometimes bark.

But it don't bother me, it don't bother me.
I sit on the deck of a submarine, n it don't bother me.

Sometimes when I get dressed up I put my arms in the legs of my pants.
I put my legs in my shirtsleeves, my shoes on my hands n try to get up n dance.
But being messed up right from the start I fall down upon my face;
It's like being dealt a royal flush and by mistake discardin' the ace.

But it don't bother me, it don't bother me,
I've always wondered if I had a full deck, but it don't bother me.

My cabin has bats not made of wood, the plumbing and electric, they aren't too good.
It's got big windows n carpet on the floor, n the pictures on the wall will sometimes snore.

But it don't bother me, it don't bother me.
My cabin's on a lake in the middle of an ocean, n it don't bother me.

I have learned a lot of things that I wish I never knew how to do.
Like work real hard to make lots of money so I can watch my portfolio accrue.
But lately I've found nonsense pays a bigger dividend to me it seems,
So I write the words and music to this song and wake up inside my dreams.

But it don't bother me, ...
